We meet and launch at East Fremantle Yacht Club and paddle slowly upriver through Bicton Bay, hugging the riverbanks. Here we take the time to admire the eclectic mix of houses, houseboats and watercraft all while enjoying the peace and serenity that is found whilst kayaking.

We continue our paddle through the crystal clear waters towards the Blackwall Reach cliffs and spend time taking in the natural beauty the limestone caves, crevices and water bird nesting sites in the Swan River’s deepest location.

Our paddle includes several ‘raft ups’ where we get together ‘mid-stream’ for a chat and a story. A short paddle then sees us disembarking back at our start point and finishes at the ‘members only’ East Fremantle Yacht Club to enjoy the very scenic setting over a well-earned coffee, tea or soft drink.

What’s Included:
  • A kayak and paddle.
  • Life Jacket.
  • Safety briefing and kayak tutorial.
  • A dry bag for your camera, phone, keys or wallet.
  • A knowledgeable guide who is trained to keep you safe whilst providing you informative commentary. The guide also carries a first aid kit for your safety.
Amenities: There are public toilets at the start and finish of the tour, so just ask the guide if you need to use the amenities. You can also use these for changing clothes if necessary.
What’s To Wear:
  • You need to bring your own weather protection clothing including a hat and sunscreen.
  • Bring a full water bottle.
  • Shoes that can be worn in the water like reef shoes, wet-suit shoes or old sandshoes (not essential).
  • A change of clothes.
Additional Information:
  • Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Minimum age for participation in a kayak tour is 8 years old.
  • Tandem kayaks have a maximum weight limitation of 125kg per person or 250kg per kayak.

Where to Meet: We start and finish at East Fremantle Yacht Club, Petra Street, East Fremantle. We launch from a grassed section and small beach just on the eastern side of the yacht club. Once you have booked this tour you will receive an email with instructions on where to park and a map on where to meet.
