Lets get the kids outside this holidays and enjoy a paddle in the Canning River on safe sit-on top kayaks. Designed for beginners, we will guide and show you incredible wildlife and wetlands and tell a little of the history of the area.
Join our Whiskey and Wheels guided bike tour along some of Perth's stunning Foreshores. Take in the magnificent views of Perth and Claise Brook Cove before visiting Perth's very own whiskey distillery where you're treated to a guided tour and tastings. East Fremantle Yacht Club
Investigate the magnificent limestone formations of the Blackwall Reach cliffs that tower 8 metres above us as we paddle slowly from East Fremantle into Bicton Bay and then along the cliff face through crystal clear waters before returning to East Freo Yacht Club for a coffee, tea or soft drink.
Using our super comfortable bikes lets take a casual ride from South Perth and visit some of Perth's newest breweries along the Perth foreshore. From the impressive Blasta Brewery to the hidden gem, the Bright Tank we sample tasting paddles and learn a little about their products. We also learn along the way a little about first Australians, colonisation and Perth today plus visit unknown spots that will surprise even locals. Tour Overview Join The Hike Collective and Gogo Active Tours for this unique and beginner friendly opportunity to discover a magnificent area of Perth through hiking and kayaking along the Canning river.
Embark on one of two options to start your tour, through a hike along the edge of the wetlands, or a gentle paddle down the river to the Kent Street Weir. We gather at this point and enjoy fresh cold pressed juices and savoury nibbles while we rest our legs. In the second half of the tour, our paddlers get to enjoy the hike while the hikers head off on the kayaks to return to our start point.
The tour is on a calm part of the river where there are no large motor boats or jet skis allowed. The area is sheltered with no waves. Embark on one of two options to start your tour, through a 2.5km hike along the cliffs along Blackwall Reach, or a gentle paddle down the river to the Bicton Baths. After a morning tea break for fresh juices and nibbles, the hikers get to enjoy a paddle and the paddlers head off on a hike. This tour combines beautiful scenery with rich history, where you can enjoy the cooling effects of the gentle paddle, and discover the magnificent stories of the land.
One of the most prominent features of the this tour is the limestone cliffs that rise eight metres out of the Swan River. The cliffs have been formed by the eroding processes of the river, which flows from the wide expanse of Mosman Bay into the narrow gap of Blackwall Reach.
